The China-Uzbekistan project promotion and enterprise Fair in the field of mining and metallurgy was successfully held


On August 14, 2024, Granville was invited to participate in the promotion meeting of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex and the China-Uzbekistan Nonferrous Metal Deep Processing and Mining Supporting Industry Cooperation Meeting jointly organized by CCCME in Beijing. With the theme of "Metallurgy and Related Industries: Interconnections, Opportunities, Growth points", the participants also included many units from China's mining and metallurgical fields, such as Xiamen Tungsten Industry, Shandong Gold, Mining and Metallurgical Technology Group.

Kasimov Ilzat, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, introduced the main investment projects of Uzbekistan, the business environment and relevant preferential policies at the meeting. He said that the government has always taken promoting industrial upgrading and vigorously developing high value-added industries as the main direction, and will provide more preferential support to foreign-funded enterprises and deepen project cooperation.


Uzbekistan has a strategic position in central Central Asia, connecting China, East Asia and Southern Europe. 2017-2023 Foreign direct investment reached 55.3 billion US dollars, developed infrastructure and rich resources.

Khursanov Abdulla Khalmura, chairman of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Complex, mentioned that the company, as the largest mining and metallurgical enterprise, has mastered all kinds of mining reserves, of which the reserves of copper reach 47 million tons, and will continue to increase copper production in the future and establish copper industrial clusters.





At the meeting, Almalyk presented projects on copper deep processing cooperation, product import substitution, rare metal mining, rubber and polyurethane product production.
